Logan and Daddy

While watching Hancock today I felt Logan moving like crazy. Carl has yet to feel baby move so I quickly grabbed his hand and put them on my belly. At first Carl didn't feel Logan practicing kick boxing with my abdomins but then he made a huge kick (which did not feel all that fantastic) but Carl felt it! As weird as it is to have something move around in my body I felt it was a magic moment for Carl and his son.
Either Logan hated the movie or loved it because he would NOT hold still. Silly Logan.

Sisters

There is nothing like the three of best friends put together in one room for a weekend. My sister Erica and her husband Jason came to visit from Arizona this weekend. They have two adorable little dogs Rio and Peru.
It is amazing how similar three people who grew up together can be and yet how different they are too. Erica is quiet and level headed and she not as touchy feely as Candice and I. Candice is our fairy princess and loves attention which we love to give her. I am also level headed yet I adore attention. There of course are other qualities we share and do not share. It makes us being together that much better.
One thing we love doing is when we need a quiet moment and just want to be together all three of us go into Candice's room and curl up on her bed together. We just talk about nothing and everything all at once. It is our comforting corner.
Thank you sisters for being my best friends, my person to turn to, my shoulder to cry on, my comforter, my listening ear, and as always just being amazing sisters.

Engagement!

Rachel, my best friend since we were in 2nd grade, got engaged to the man of her dreams! Her now fiance, Michael Pace, planned a masquerade ball to ask her. A bunch of Rachel's friends as well as ourselves got dressed up all fancy like and made mask of our own. We danced, talked, and enjoy some refreshments. It was in my parents back yard which set a lovely ambiance for the occasion. My dead and wonderful parents helped us set this whole thing up. I am so grateful for them! Mike basically wanted to take my mom home because she was being so amazing as always.
Rachel had no idea that this was happening tonight. He swept her away after a romantic dance and disappeared for a while. Upon returning, Rachel pretended that nothing had happened, but I knew what was going on. She was absolutely clueless I was involved with the whole proposal thing. She then announced it to everyone and she got swarmed with congrats and loves.
My beautiful friend is going to have her princess for a day opportunity and I could not be more happy for her.

CAMPING TRIP

This happened a while ago so I am no on catch up. We went camping for the first time since we were married! We invited several people and of course most bailed at the last moment. I enjoyed the smaller numbers however. Our campsite was in Coalville by Echo reservoir. It was an RV park and we had a lovely view of the back of a hotel. It was really close to the town which proved very helpful as we forgot many things.
Brandon was the first to show for several hours. We enjoyed just sitting outside, getting eaten by bugs, and chatting! I so love this kid and being around him and Carl made a new friend.
Rachel LOVING Her hotdog lunch. And in the back ground you can see the Marriot hotel. If it rained we were thinking of just booking a hotel room and enjoy that kind of camping. hehe.
Jessica and her fiance Monty also joined in this very exciting excapade. They are a lovely couple and a lot of fun to be with.

We went to Echo resevoir when it just got too hot to deal with. The water was just right but really nasty. I personally got in long enough to enjoy the refreshing water then quickly returned to our very rocky beach. I wish I had worn water shoes. Next time we should bring a boat because again not a swimming resevoir.
I got a new swimwuit for the occation. It worked great with my protruding belly. With my visor I looked like a tennis player! ACE!

This is Carl's way of cleaning out the tent. It made him look SO buff! I was so use to the tents with the fat metal polls and heavy tarps that you had to sweep out with a broom that this absolutely astounded me! Welcome to the twenty first century Bri!

Anyone who knows Rachel knows that she is not a very good cook, except sugar cookies which she is absolutely amazing at. But this was a very successful meal! Probably because, as it turns out, Mike is a gourmet chief! Not just scrambled eggs, but a whole meal in the eggs and bacon! I am glad that someone in that relationship is a good cook. I always feared for Rachel's nutritional well being when she was on her own. No more though! hehe.

Our little camping group, save Brandon who took off a little earlier. It was a delightful trip filled with adventure, relaxation, boardgames, good company, and mosquitoes. Although I may not choose this place again next year, There will defiantly be planning of an annual friends camping trip! HOOORAH!

IT'S A BOY

Logan Paul Ballard graced us with allowing us to take a few pictures of him. He is already showing off a lot of personality. He is curling up against mommy and not showing his face. He is also very proud of the fact he is a boy and was not ashamed to show it off. He is due December 25th (yes a Christmas baby) but that will be for him to determine when he wants to have his birthday. The grandfathers are wanting the baby to be on their birthdays (Carl's father Dec. 22 and Bri's father Jan. 7). Again, we will see what Logan chooses.
It was a magical thing to see him. I had no preference if it was a boy or a girl. I know Carl wanted a princess but is very happy with his son. His heart is whole and beating strong and fast, his head is just right. The doctor and the tech. both commented on a section of his brain (I don't fully remember what part). It made dad proud.
