Fall Break Cabin Trip

For Fall Break I took the Ballard's up to my family's cabin in Oakley Idaho. I wanted to show them how we like to rest and relax. (Their version of rest is activities) Originally Aunt Devon's family and her friends family were going to accompany us. There was a last minute change of plans and they went to visit Levi's family instead. It was only Tammy and Mark, Raymond and Cindy, and Carl and myself who came. It was like a couples retreat!

Carl and Mark starting the fire. It is the only source of heat in the house, but to be honest, it is really affective!

There was a ridiculously large amount of flies in the cabin. Carl pulled out the vacuum and began to suck them all up! Since they bred so fast, it became a daily activity in the morning.

Carl cooking breakfast with mom. He was grumpy because the bed was so hard.

We played a vicious game of Greed. My parents really enjoyed that game!

We went to visit the City of Rocks! Tammy and Mark had never been there. The indian chief is our favorite rock formation! They really enjoyed it too.

There were so many places for us to explore even though most of us had been there already.

Bathtub rock is one of my favorites too! Since I had hurt my wrist, I was not able to climb. But Carl and Fashia took on the challenge!

The Death defying men took to the rock easily! Especially with this optic illusion.

This is my least favorite part, but of course Carl took it with ease.

There are our boy at the top! They made it down safely as well.

On the way to the City of Rocks we ran into some cows. I had wanted to see a cow up close and I got my wish! Too bad they were traveling so they smelled bad and were all sweaty so I didn't want to touch them.

Shooting Outing

I haven't been shooting since I was a little girl. So Carl and family took me out to go shooting. These guns were inherited by Carl's father. Apparently it is common for them to just go out and shoot the crap out of bottles and pumpkins!

We had lots of fun! I am still not sure about allowing guns in my house though. Carl feels we need them for the zombie invasion. :)

Carl loading the gun

I am not going to lie. The rifle scared me. I had a pretty not so happy experience when I was younger with a rifle. Carl and Fashia took good care of me though!

My attempted James Bond Girl look.

Fashia is seriously pro. He poked a lot of holes in small pumpkin.

Carl's Smexy James Bond pose.
