Everyday you learn something new

So I learned the coolest thing! Maybe it is because I am way exhausted that I find find EVERYTHING cool at the moment.
Alright, So homeostasis is when the body is equal. The body responds to stimuli. If the body, which feeds into the brain, is over stimulated it reads it as an irritation. Like wearing a wool sweater compared to a cotton one. Both touching the skin, one over stimulating caused by the wool and one not over stimulated by the cotton. The same thing the mind and over stimulation of the mind. People who bounce their legs, move around when they are sitting, and ADHD Children, they are trying to stimulate their brain more in order for them to have homeostasis. Migrains are an example of an over stimuli of a brain. Wanting to sit in a dark, quiet room wrapped in a blanket are ways to under stimulate the brain. Clinically insane people who sit in a corner and rock. Their mind is over stimulated and they are trying to return to homeostasis.
So in order to help a child or a person with ADHD or other similar problems, the simple proses of letting them run around for 15 minutes and allow their body to hit homeostasis before putting them in a controlled environment where they are forced into a highly non-stimulating atmosphere.

Vegas

For our first anniversary we went on our honeymoon. FINALLY! We went to Vegas as we had originally planned after our wedding. On the way there we just talked the whole time. We stayed at the Riviera and had a beautiful view of a wall. That was definatly a suprise when we opened the curtains.

The ride down was very smooth and easy going. Carl drove the whole time which was odd for me, but he considers it the husbands job. I actually don't mind it very much. There was a double and big rainbow in the middle of the day in the middle of the desert. It was really cool and really beautiful

All of the hotels had Christmas lights streeming across the hotel roof and exhibits. My poor camera couldn't take a clear picture of how beautiful it was!

In the Plazzo there was a beautiful display of a spiral twig collum covered in lights It had a pool of water covered with cranberries.

Sitting on the balcony at the Vinecian made us feel like we really where in Italy. With the music, the boats, and the romance that was in the air, it was really nice just to sit there for a few minutes and enjoy each other's company.

Carl really enjoyed this building. It was a shopping mall. But he called it the space ship.

We had the great privilege to see Phantom in Vegas. It was not like the one I saw before. It was defiantly more Vegas like. The Phantom was extremely magician like. Lots of flashes and colors and so much more fun.

We had our picture taken by some guy who then wanted to charge us 45 dollars for it after. We just took one after. I like it better.

We checked out the Ceasers Palace. It is our favorite hotel. Plus we got to eat at Planet Hollywood. Best food I have eaten in a long time. It was also fun to check out all the Hollywood props.

Girls night out

Rachel has been my very best friend since 2nd grade. Since I have moved and since college it has been very difficult to get together. So when we get together it has always been a precious moment. This time we went to Salt Lake and saw Christmas Carol, and ate at California Pizza. The server was horrible, the pizza was nasty, the movie sucked. But still the same, I loved talking to my best friend and enjoyed even more just being with her.

Coolest light bulb sculpture ever! I wouldn't mind this in my living room.

Rachel's dream bed. It was really awesome.

Throught Rachel's reflection in this picture was really cool!

Oh yeah, definatly my favorite girl in the world. She looks like her brother though...

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving Carl and I celebrated Thanksgiving with the Rounds/Ericksons. It originally was going to be my parents, sister, and Grandwamzie, however, mom invited a bunch of the Ericksons. It was so good to see everyone. Uncle Randy Erickson now lives in Utah so we can see him a lot more. Jackie, his girlfriend, was not able to be there. We really missed her. Candice's boyfriend Frank was also with us, by my request might I add. My family is so wonderfully accepting of him. The kids loved him too. We played games, ate a lot of food, and thoroughly loved being with our loving family.

Our family playing Cranium. Candice and I went to Walmart to buy this game for mommy and could not find it anywhere! After getting an employee to help us and many time scanning through the board games, at the moment we gave up we found it. For some reason the game was places backward confusing us horribly.

Carl played mouse trap with cousin Tanner. They had so much fun together! Tanner loves his new cousin Carl.

Playing the piano and singing is a favorite past time of our family. Kylee was a very good singer!

Uncle Randy E. showing off his sparkling cider. We always have to check to make sure it is non-alcoholic. Our family tends to "accidentally" involve alcohol in our parties.

It is hard to see, but carl is holding a perfect piece of ice taken from the top of the pool. It was just like glass and broke like it too.
