Slacking

So instead of doing my homework I have chosen a different route and blog. A must more enjoyable activity I would admit.
Carl is now officially set apart as an assistant scout master. Of course they do this to a young man who is recently expanding on his family, working full time, and going to school full time. We are both very excited however and have been waiting for this calling for him. Carl is very good at scouting and he loves it so much. My father reflected on his scouting experiences when we saw him at our friend TJ Smith's wedding. It was a hilarious and rather negative recount from my father but I know it didn't dent Carl's enthusiasm for doing this. Carl's scout supervisors are being really kind and understanding of Carl's situation. Besides, I can step in whenever Carl needs me. That is what a wife is suppose to do right?

I have started teaching piano lessons. I absolutely love it! My only student, Nathaniel, is an absolute doll. I first and for most want to teach him that piano/music is fun, not a chore. Of course this is challenging but I believe he is catching on. I am applying a lot of things I am learning in my coaching class. My teacher, coach Miner, tells us to show our enthusiasm and your athlete/student will soon learn to share at least an appreciation for the activity. I can testify this through my piano lessons and my coaching 10-11 year old girls in basketball. What a great opportunity to share my talent and enthusiasm with other people.

Carl is obsessing over paint balling. It is in season and great weather for it. He will leave me for a day to just go out in the dirt and shoot other people.I am so glad he has a sport that he can love and do. He has even agreed to get into a workout program with me! He wants to get in shape so he won't die on the course. I think I embarrass him a little considering his pregnant wife can out endurance him. Course he is stronger than I. I still giggle at him and encourage him. If he keeps up with this I know he will be able to out run and lift me in no time. A six pack won't hurt our relationship either. haha!
He has made his own paintball vest and camo'd his entire gun. He is a really great sewer! He is like a little child when he finishes something he bring it upstairs with stars in his eyes and does the "look at this look at this!" As annoying as it is, I just can't get enough of seeing him so excited over something.
Carl has declared he will not take Logan out paint balling until Logan can take a stumble and a fall without crying to him or mommy. That or take a shot from a paintball from ten feet. Our child will be a paint shooting fiend in no time.
