Denver Trip

Carl's Grandparents, Ballard, live in Denver Colorado. We drove there and experienced some tire problems. Fashia and his skills managed to repair the tire enough to get us to Denver and back.

Also along the adventure Carl got a nasty nose bleed. We learned that low pressure and nail polish do not mix with sensitive noses. It was a good excuse to get out and stretch our legs none the less.

Usually the Ballard's go for cheap hotels. Fashia chose to go up to a four star hotel rather than a two or three star hotel. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms were fairly cozy. I believe it was worth the few extra dollars. We were so proud of Fashia and his upgrade, not to mention grateful.

We stopped at Glenwood Springs Colorado. They are natural mineral baths and SSSOOO wonderful! After you get out of these warm pools your skin feels so soft. I had gotten a bad sunburn recently and was peeling pretty bad, but the soaking in the warm pools nourished my new skin and helped me get rid of my old skin. It feels so good to have fresh new skin. It also felt fantastic to get a break from the road.

The original purpose of going to Denver was to visit our Grandparent Ballards and to put in a new floor for their kitchen. We got to visit with our cousins as well and enjoy the art show. We did not enjoy the art show as much mostly because of the heat. So Allen and his wife Amber joined us in an adventure to the mall that was near by. We just did some window shopping. Nothing fancy.

This family is so hard to get looking at the camera at the same time. Our cousins are really amazing!

On the way home we explored the town of Vail. It is a small skiing town filled with timeshares. It reminded me of a modern English town nestled in the mountains. I can tell that it would be freezing there in the winter, but it would be perfect for the people who love snow and skiing.
