Halloween

We had a super great halloween. Carl and I did a competition for a game we played called League of Legends. We didn't win, but we sure had fun making the costumes!
Tristana and nunu/yeti

Logan had a party of his own at his day care. They did a pumpkin walk/crawl and logan got a bag of goodies! He slimmed a cookie and made ghost footprints. He really loved being with his friends at day care.

Ballards Meet Joseph Smith

WE had an opportunity to go to see this movie as a family. It is a unique movie about Joseph in the sense it is not just highlights of Joseph, it is about his life. It is a history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints.
When we went to the movie and the actor of Joseph Smith was waiting for us at the front door. He is truely not my image of what Joseph Smith was like but he had a very kind face and feel about him. He was very interested in Logan (Who wouldn't be) and even shook his hand like a grown-up. We declared we had shook the hand of a representative of a prophet. Very exciting.
After the movie the actor opened the floor for questions. Strangely the children asked the most profound questions. Why were the visions not shown? Why was Joseph not looking at the plates when he translated? It was very cool. His answers were inspiring and well thought out. It was a wonderful and delightful experience.

Logan did so well for his first movie. There was a lot of food being shoved at him and standing and rocking, but all in all he did well.

Smith, Ballard, Rounds, Erickson

Again we had a wonderful oppertunity to have my sister and brother come visit! Last time they saw Logan he was just a lump of a person who couldn't do anything. Now he is just a ball of energy never stopping. He got to play with his cousin puppies. He would get so excited when they scampered on by. Rio and Peru were so good with him! He pulled their hair and ears and they would just run away. Eventually they learned to avoid the little hands and all three had managed to play in unity without any of us worrying about either of them hurting eachother.

It was also Grandpa Ericksons 82 birthday! Everyone was there! that is 28 cousins, 14 aunts and uncles, 5 great grand children (to my grandparents) and two puppies. that was a lot of people! It was a huge pool party at my parents and BBQ. It was a true success. They whole family has not been together like that for YEARS.

Logan and Uncle Jason. Those two have such a cute bond!

Rio cuteness!

While in the kitchen I hear this call "Let me out!" so we look over and Uncle Jason and Logan are trapped!! Imprisoned for 5 minutes behind bars. Good thing they like each other.
My sisters and I thought it would be appropiate for us to visit our old schools. Our Jr. High (South Ogden) was burnt down about a year ago. We went to the remnant. As you can see by the pictures, there is NOTHING left except the old school sign. My sisters are demonstrating were the old front doors were.
We also went to Bonneville High and the new South. Both are fabulous schools. All three of us got chills when we went in. I felt like a high school student all over again. It was so exciting I could hardly contain myself.

Camping Trip

I love camping. There is nothing better then going out in a tent and enjoy a camp fire and star filled skies. That was my hope for this weekend. However, because of my obvious inability to plan ahead, my friend Matt and I went on a great trip all through the mountain looking for a camp site and found NONE! I had called a week ahead and all the reserve places were taken and the only place that was available had enough room for a single tent and look as if cannabals were our next door neighbors. As a positive I was able to check out the Jag's 4 wheel, turns out there is none.
In the end we just went to our home, made a white trash fire pit in the pasture and cooked all the food I bought there. It turned out to be really fun! We watched a movie and the guys came back the next morning to eat breakfast. All in all, (although there were many break downs) it was a very fun weekend.
Water mellon Logan!

New Floor, New House, New life!

Carl and I have finally moved into a house! A beautiful house in Lindon. We love everything about it. Beautiful layout, beautiful yard, beautiful neighborhood, and a beautiful park just outside our front yard.
